The 2016 CRC Annual Planning Conference was a successful gathering of approximately 60 representatives from CRC colleges, K-12, adult education, the CCCCO, Key Talent, and other CTE stakeholders. Keynote speaker CCCCO Dean Walt DiMantova presented on the evolution of CTE at CA Community Colleges, invoking humor with salient points directing the future charge of community colleges.
Other meeting highlights included: a discussion on collaboration with CVHEC represented by Reedley College President Sandra Caldwell, CVHEC Director Dr. Ben Duran, and Steering Committee Member Robert Pimentel; an interactive panel on Dean Do’s and Don’ts with Steering Committee Members Jim Andersen, David Clark and Salvador Vargas; Perkins Fund Management by CCCCO JeanClaude Mbomeda and Robin Harrington; LaunchBoard 2.0 by Renah Wolzinger; and CRC Strategic Planning.
